1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Nicene application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you do not have permission to access the App.

2. Description of Service

Nicene provides a platform for theological debate and learning, utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to evaluate arguments, provide feedback, and assign rankings.

3. User Conduct

You agree to use the App actively and respectfully. You must not:

Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Attempt to manipulate the ranking system or exploit vulnerabilities.
Harass, abuse, or harm other users in PvP matches.
Submit purely malicious or nonsensical inputs to the AI systems.

4. AI and Content Disclaimer

The App relies on AI to evaluate theological arguments. While we strive for accuracy based on historical Christian orthodoxy, the AI's judgments are not infallible and should not be considered definitive theological authority. The content generated by the AI is for educational and debate purposes only.

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content (excluding User-provided content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Nicene. You agree that the transcripts and data generated during your debates may be used by Nicene to improve the platform and AI models.

6. Beta Status and "As-Is" Provision

Nicene is currently in an active developmental stage (Beta). Our service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will not occur. We are not liable for any disruption or loss of historical ELO/ranking data that may result from necessary platform upgrades.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
